A Method of Prayer

Twenty somethings praying together.

Neville Goddard was a spiritual teacher and author who believed in the power of the mind to manifest our desires. His techniques have been used by many to achieve their goals and dreams. Let’s explore and understand how to use them to manifest our desires.

There are plenty of ways to bring manifestations into fruition. His method for manifesting includes a practice called Scripting. It is the act of writing down what you desire on a piece of paper or in a journal to set your intentions. The 3-6-9 method is a simple manifestation of the law of attraction. The saying is, “if you want something to manifest, write it down.” Scripting is a powerful way to attract your choices. “Manifest what’s on your mind... write now!”

The Law of Assumption is a key concept in Neville Goddard’s teachings. It states that whatever you assume to be true, will manifest in your reality. This means that if you want to manifest a specific desire, you must first assume that it has already happened. For example, if you want to manifest a new job, you must assume that you have already been hired and feel the emotions associated with that reality. By doing this, you align your thoughts and feelings with your desired outcome, making it more likely to manifest in your reality. Script a statement three times, then six times, and then nine times.

Use the 17-second rule. Abraham Hick’s 17-second rule is the act of holding and focusing on what you wish to manifest. When you start with one thought and focus on it, then the second thought will come, and so on and so forth. Once you have held onto your thought, the manifestation begins to happen. All you have to do is visualize and keep yourself in a high vibration.

First, start with the number “three”. Write a sentence based on what you plan to manifest. Remember, you should be specific. Include anything you want included. For example, if you want a new car then you should include whether you will pay cash or not! Write a full, complete sentence. Repeat that sentence two more times. The “3-stage” is typically completed in the morning.

At the midpoint of your day, you would write the same sentence six times. There doesn’t have to be a specific time in which you need to complete this exercise. It is recommended that you do this while you are feeling good! Never try to script while you are in a bad, un-glad, or anxious mood. Your manifestations may be delayed if you are trying to manifest from a low vibration point.

Before you go to sleep, write out your statement nine times. Visualize what you’re writing. Visualize having what you will. You can visualize as much as you want. However, make sure you feel good when you’re doing it. You can think about something that makes you happy prior to visualizing. After you have written out your statements, quickly think about something else. Detaching and letting it go is very important. Remember you don't have to concern yourself about the “HOW” of the matter. You have released the energy of the entire Universe simply by your “WHAT”.
